We will be going over the content you need to record in order to make a video for Thursday.

1. Points of Comparison - 15 minutes

After examining 3 different social media platforms, the following activity is meant to help you compare them and draw some conclusions. See Google Classroom for the associated Google Doc.​
2. GET The PICTURE - 30 minutes

  • Choose three companies that you are familiar with, and do not have Instagram accounts. 
  • Write each company name and a short description of its products and/or services in the spaces provided in the chart. 
  • Check Google Classroom for the associated Google Doc.​​
IG Post - 30 minutes
Take a picture ON YOUR CAMERA. Upload to Canva and design a square IG post. THEN, make your content/post and hashtags in a Google Doc.

Tuesday

Circle Time - 10 minutes

Influencer Status - 40 minutes
We will look at sample influencers on social media and discuss what makes them successful. Don't forget to keep collecting content for your "Day in the Life Of" video.

3. Instagram for Marketing - 15 minutes
Using a real local business, organization, non-profit, etc. as a “client,” explain how you would implement each of the ”keys” listed below. Feel free to scour the Internet for ideas—but make sure you adapt the ideas you find so they are a fit with your client.  Don’t simply cut and paste! Check Google Classroom for the Google Doc for more instructions.
4. User Created Content - 15 minutes
One of the keys to the effective use of Instagram is making use of user-generated content. Marketers can involve their followers in campaigns by inviting them to submit/post images that are related to their brand. See the doc in Google Classroom.

Influencer Video Draft - 20 minutes
Start looking for your music and begin your template in Adobe Rush.

Circle Time - 10 minutes

Influencer Video - 90 minutes

You are an influencer on Instagram. You will be making videos for the platform. See the following requirements. YOU CANNOT USE YOUR PHONE TO EDIT THE VIDEO. YOU MAY NOT GET YOUR PHONE OUT IN CLASS.
  • Edit in Adobe RUSH and upload as MP4 to classroom
  • A "day in the life of" theme at MPHS - 20 points
  • 60 seconds long video - 20 points
  • Portrait mode (up and down) - 20 points
  • Copyright free music in the background that doesn't overpower your own voice - 20 points
  • At least 30 seconds of your voice or autovoice - 10 points
  • 5 sets of text somewhere in the video - 10 points

Thursday 

Make-up Work
Influence Video - EXTRA CREDIT
Work on your influencer video. Pick a viral video and duplicate it. It can be a dance, cooking, or other viral content THAT IS NOT A PRANK OR DANGEROUS CHALLENGE. It can also be an MPHS theme. Upload your video to classroom. 

IG Posts - EXTRA CREDIT
Work on your picture taking skills using your social media camera. Upload them to Canva and make some text/titles. For this extra credit, you'll need to make a caption/post with at least 2 hashtags. Upload all of this to a document then print out 2 copies.
